Top Questions about the often mystified world of CBD products

1. Will it get me high?

No, CBD will not get you high. But, it will make you feel like you’re turning the volume down on the chaos in your life jusssst a little bit. THC is the stuff that gets you high, and all of our products have less than the federally legal limit of 0.3% THC. These teeny tiny amounts aren’t nearly enough to get you high when used as directed.

2. What exactly is CBD? And are you sure it won’t get me high?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a compound found naturally in hemp plants. Unlike THC, CBD is not intoxicating. And yes, we are absolutely sure it won’t get you high.

3. What is the difference between cannabis and hemp? Hemp sure does sound like something that would get you high…

Cannabis is a broad term that refers to a plant in the Cannabaceae family. The hemp plant is a specific type of cannabis plant that contains high levels of non-intoxicating CBD and very low levels of THC. Hemp isn’t good for getting high, but it is really good for making a luxurious line of CBD-based bath and body products.

4. What is the difference between CBD isolate, CBD from broad spectrum hemp extract and CBD from full spectrum hemp extract? And is one of those code for “the kind of CBD that will get you high?”

Okay, science lesson time: CBD isolate is made up almost entirely of CBD molecules that have been isolated from all other parts of the hemp plant. CBD from full spectrum hemp extract, the kind we use in Happy Dance™ products, contains many components including cannabinoids and terpenes. Broad spectrum hemp extract is somewhere in between the two. As for “the kind of CBD that will get you high,” it doesn’t exist (that’s THC’s job).

5. Alright, so I guess it’s not going to get me high, but how do I know what I’m getting and that it’s safe?

Happy Dance™ products are tested and certified by third party ISO certified labs and manufactured in facilities following Good Manufacturing Practices. Also we pinky swear!
